Just had it confirmed my AC compressor isn’t working, it was intermittent at best for a while now nothing I’ve just had the ac man out as he confirms the pressure on both sides is spot on with the correct amount of gas but nothing happens, is replacement a easy job or best to leave to the professionals, if so can anyone recommend an indi garage near HINCKLEY LeicestershireRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

It's not a fun job, that's for sure
Turbo intake and boost pipes removed
Upper suspension arm and arch liner off
Fan and couling out
A 2nd pair of hands would be a huge advantage, but it can be done single handedly
Hardest part of the job is refitting the AC pipes into the compressorMy D3 Build Thread
Thanks Mikey I thought as much best start looking for someone to do it any idea on hours needed to do itRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

Basically...
Look for a pressure increase in the system pressure when the compressor is active
At rest, it should be around 4.5/5 bar. When running, it should climb anywhere between 8-12 bar
If the pressure remains static, the compressor is not kicking in
The HVAC activates the compressor "clutch" and should draw around 0.75A
If the system pressure is good, compressor is receiving its feed, and drawing a similar current, there is a good chance its the compressor at faultMy D3 Build Thread
