Slow Wipers
Hi,
Firs thing thanks to everyone for all their advice up to now, thats the direct responses and also waht I have managed to glean from searches.
Secondly, sorry in advanvce as I will probably be posting a lot. The wife has a RRS 06 so I have some experience in the joys of Land Rover maintenance.
My question for today is this; sometimes my front wipers wont come on or are ridiculously slow. I would normally put this down to low battery, especially as they usually seem to speed up once on the move. However, there are none of the other telltale signs, low lights, Blackpool style warning lights etc.
At the moment my options are strip, clean and lubricate the wiper arms etc and obviously check the voltage at the wiper motor.
I just wondered if anyone else has had a similar issue before I start doing jobs I dont need to.

Just an update.
The battery was replaced in March last year, so that shouldn't be the culprit. I have also lubricated the wiper mechanism and it is a bit better but still not right. So I am thinking maybe the motor is on its way out.
So, is the mech and motor the same on a RRS 2006? My wife has one and I am thinking I could try hers in and see if that resolves it before buying another motor.Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Hi!
Not sure if they're the same, but I would certainly say the motor is on it's way out..Disco4 MY16 SDV6 Landmark Black

Most likely motor is on its way out. I've had a similar slow wiper and then it just died. Replace the motor and all well. 1 hour job. They are widely available used.LR3 HSE 2.7 TDV6 2005
