Battery T bolt
Morning all,
Some over enthusiastic tightening caused me to shear the T bolt on my battery. Nut salvaged so really wondering if all (or at least most) T bolts are made equal or do I need a disco 3 specific one.
Cheers.

I would just make one from a normal bolt, file or grind off the sides making 2 flats if need be to get it to fit
I wonder if it's designed as weakest point so it fails before you up the clamp or the post?
So whilst a nice stainless bolt would look better, an alloy one would be best option?
Just guessing TBH, but if I'm right look for greenhouse fixings as a solution.
SWMBO's Vauxhall has an open frame version of the clamp on the disco and it's fail point is the bloody clamp itself. Took 30 mins of careful bending and hammering to get it back into a shape that would go back on and tighten up. Disco design looks much better..

Yep, as above, just grind or file the sides off a normal bolt.
I made one for my D3 that way a few years ago.

Thanks all.
Have ordered a T looking guy and will see if it fits or not.
Failing that I'll pop to my neighbours workshop and get grinding from a socially acceptable distance.
