Yes there is plenty of widgets for speed/rpm on launchers as well. I’ve seen some people build a mini cluster on the head unit as well with one of the launcher apps. This is my current layout using Car Launcher

Guys this is an awesome thread. Thank you for all the information action. I read every single word. I have 2011, and from what I understand the moving of the screen behind the android screen is going to be a little difficult.

I also have a 2011 and am quite curious if you’ve learned how compatible this will be with our year... from what I could gather there is a difference in the ribbons quantity from the back of the factory screens. (We have two?)

Would love to figure this out... think this may be a great solution. (My current screen is scratched and I’m considering getting a new oem screen, or this android tablet option)

From what I understand you will need to do a little more surgery 😂 than what I did, but exactly same as what Andy did earlier in the thread. From what I’ve seen it’s not that complicated and if you’re doing the rest of this install, not any worse. Just received my delivery today and looking forward to installing tonight (hopefully), will be removing the Naviplus CarPlay at same time.
I wonder is there much set up to get started ?
