My discovery 3 is a 2006 SE, non-AFS model.
I have already purchased an upgrade kit to the discovery 4 2016 model.
But I haven't bought the headlights yet.
I would like to know if the product at this URL is effective for the headlight wiring of discovery 3.
As a result of a little research by myself, the No. 1 photo is the PINs of the Defender look product.
And the photo of No2 is the photo of my discovery 3 PINs.
Does anyone know what the role of the No. 1 red circle Pin is?
I'm guessing it's DRL.....
It would be helpful if someone could help me.
Thank you.

Subscribing to this thread as I'd like to see if these fit, work and are of good quality.
They certainly look great but so does a Big Mac in photos.
My only concern is the "laser" light claim..... what are the costs if you don't mind me asking?
I can't definitely say that pin is DRL, but it would be my guess. Hopefully someone will be along who has a D3 and a tester handy.A mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.

Hi S60r
I checked with the seller.
And they taught us the functions of the PINs.
As expected, it was a DRL PIN.
And they said it would be installable with the D4 upgrade kit.
Is cost the product price?

Can’t help you with this, but just want to point out:-
On your first post, the pin on pic 1 doesn’t insert into the socket at the point you’ve indicated in pic 2
It insets in at the other end of that row.
Unless of course I’ve picked you up wrong
Edited to add: yes I do think I’ve picked this up wrong.
Thought it was a plug and a socket, but after studying closer it looks like two different plugs (or sockets).I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

agree with that!! 👍
...and at the same time it shows that the supposed current DEFENDER is not the true defender, it´s nothing more than an evolution of the DISCOVERY3, the true discovery!! which is not bad !!lost in translation!

I like the idea, it's pretty clever, but that now-redundant high beam 'bump' would annoy me. They should have done a new grille to match without the cut-out in it and squared off the lampsD4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

i agree... with both statements...
interesting note: "we" as a company do restauration of classics... .. a mark I is in 95% of the time THE classic "to have" and by far the most expensive one.. a lot of classic mark I 's from the past are visually "upgraded" in time (to whatever spec) what we call "downgraded" (or more worse ) and it makes them less worth..Best regards

Dear all,
Thank you for your advice.
I have upgraded my DISCO3 this time.
DRL also worked and could be installed with full coupler on.
I am very happy with the new style!!!!

I actually think that looks pretty good when on the car (not that I'll be fitting them on mine)I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
