pumps used to have the pins in place. then they dissapeared. anyone know why ?. i am assuming it was a health and safety thing

Well my filler cap doesn't fit 
And why I'd want to put my filler cap anywhere the filthy dirty diesel drenched filler handles I'm not sure - one of my gripes about diesel vehicles is having to share fuel and fuel dispensing devices with truck and van drivers...

Still have them at "proper" truck stops. The main reason they are not on most forecourts it to stop spills

tried mine at the weekend - magic  inner screw thread is just the right width and the "handle" stays nice and clean / clear of the pump handle.
