| Lakes 08 Review (ON TOPIC) |
|
Just to open this up again as I think that the thread is valid once it remains on topic.
(so please remain on topic , the issue of the "hole" has been covered guys,)
I would just like to thank Ryan for setting up the weekend and every one else who was involved in
running the days . It was a long trip over and back from Ireland , but we did enjoy it .
it was great to meet you all (sorry if I didn't get to meet everyone)
Having never driven "off-road" before in England it was very interesting compared to what we have done
here in Ireland. the one big downer in my view was the amount of negative sentiment and indeed dirty looks
that we got from other users on the tracks , having heard about it but never experienced it was very off putting
despite the fact you always yielded to these guy and in some cases pulled up and turned of your engine
to limit the disturbance to their dogs/horses or children as they passed you, you still got it .. I guess a sign of the times .. I don't know how yee guys put up with it.
All good fun though and thanks again _________________ One Wife.. Kill it ..

I would like to say a big thank you to all the Irish guys who make so much effort to contribute to the site and its events.
I fully understand your negative vibes from other countryside users, its a great shame, but its a selfish intolerant society we live in I'm afraid.
However, despite all this, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and look forward to another event. Well done RPJ _________________ Silver TDV6 HSE

Yep, it was an outstanding weekend - thanks to RPJ for pulling it together. Thanks too to those who were willing to 'take point' and be responsible for decoding the routes and keeping on the straight and (very) narrow _________________ Programming is a race between Software Developers trying to create bigger and better foolproof programs and the Universe trying to create bigger and better fools. RPJ - from one that wasn't there - well done
it takes balls to organise and run an event in such a sensitive area! _________________
