| Where to get full size spare - 18 " ? |
|
Hi all.
Having just ordered 5 Grabber AT2s for our upcoming trip to Iceland I realised that I'll need a full size spare instead of the space saver. Can anyone recommend where to buy on (I've had a look on Ebay) and does it need to be an alloy ?
Thanks. 2006 'S' - Zermatt Silver.

Ebay's the easiest place, unless somebody on here has an odd one. I dont think LR do a steel 18" for the D3 or RRS.
Al TDV6 S - Tonga with Ebony
(and 19" RRS alloys, satnav & DVD)
Vote for Global Warming - Cambridge on Sea sounds good to me, no more using the M5 to get to the seaside

S type alloys come up reasonably often on fleabay and if the tyres are shot, they are not too expensive for a set. Best approach might be watch out for a set of 4 and flog on those you don't want on the forum as folks quite regularly looking for a spare or second spare for offroading. That would also give you the option of taking two spares to Iceland
Enjoy Iceland, I keep trying to persuade Mrs DSL to do another trip there but she said Iceland was ticked off the list.

I've got a style-2 (06 SE) 18" with some scratching from offroad use you can have in exchange for a £30 donation to the site, but getting it up to Scotland may be a logistical nightmare
When do you need it? I may be able to get it to you via the D3 network given enough time. wd40 has lubrication properties similar to spit. And what's good enough for the girls...... Going, going...... Gone!

NoDo$h.
We're not leaving for Iceland until 23rd July. Would happily take the wheel for a donation to the site. How far South are you ?
Can anyone help with the transportation ? I can travel South if anyone can get it part of the way North.
BCP.
Thanks for the eBay link.

Renny.
I'm hoping to get the individual wheel from NoDo$h rather than the set on eBay.
NoDo$h, is Renny's trip to Silverstone any use in getting the wheel from you ?
Thanks. 2006 'S' - Zermatt Silver.

Sadly I have to endure NoDo$h at the SE Pub Meets ( ) so can collect it then and get it as far north as Leeds if that's any help.... If you are annoying me, just remember it takes 42 muscles for me to frown and only 4 to extend my middle finger, and I'm lazy so don't be offended.
