what fits my DS3 that will give me on road and a little off road capability? need 4 new tyres soon!! maybe upgrade to 18"?

As you have a GS I assume you have 17's - you could put Cooper ST's straight on them - a bit noisy but I run them all the time (my original 18's are in the garage)
This gives you some idea of the tread pattern...

I use the standard Continental 4x4 Contacts (17" wheels) for on road and green laning, usually don't have any problems with grip except when I had them over inflated. Tough as old boots as well.
