| Can I fit 255/55/18's to my D3? |
|
I have got some almost worn out 255/60/18 Khumos on at the moment - About to part with my old D2 which currently has a new set of Goodyear Wranglers 255/55/18 - as I expect to be giving the D2 away at the current prices I wondered if I could save a few bob and swap for the lower profile on the D3. Any one any ideas?
Thanks Graham

Would be a tad small (speedo reading 3.3% too fast) but I'd be more concerned with the load rating. U need 111 (from memory) for a D3.
See http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html foir tyre size calculator. Honda Dog U better DUCK!!!!!

Ok thanks for that the load rating on my 255's is 109 so not enough for my D3. Will have to go out tyre shopping then... Graham

Why does the load rating vary in different locations? In Oz it is 109. 06 TDV6 SE with Extras

Went to pick up some 18's today, and the donor car now sat proudly on its new 19" RRS wheels when I commented that they really should change the underrated tyres all I got was a blank look. God why dont these people do their homework first.
Still got a nice set of 10 spoke 18's that are about to have a shadow chrome finish
