| No sound from High Line system - HELP! |
|
Hi, My disco just developed strange fault today. There is no sound coming from the radio, CD or AUX sources. All the disply is looking normal, (and yes, the volume is turned up!!).
Is there an internal fuse for the amplifier? I was playing my iPOD through the AUX input rather loud earlier
I printed off a copy of a wiring system that someone had posted earlier, but I can't see anything obvious on there apart from fuse to the whole unit, but this would probably have resulted in the display not working also had it gone.
Anyone shed any light? Or indeed sound!

It's a known problem, mine had it and they tried a software fix which didn't work. Spoke to dealer today, but I suspect it will be a new head unit under warranty.
You may find it will work once you have switched the ignition on and off a few times.

Mine did this last week 2 days in a row. Never done it before.

Weird!

Thnks Discodad and Countrywide,
It did indeed come back on its own afer a few engine restarts. So I'm happy tha I don't have to go down the dealer and have all the hassle but then again, of it has done it once it could do it again, )probably when I'm driving to UK next month...in the car for hours without sounds!).
Regards

I've had a new amp fitted, it only took a couple of hours to fit but a couple of weeks to order. Arctic Frost Discovery 3 TDV6 SE, Active Rear Diff, Adaptive Head Lights, Tow Pack, Ebony Leather, Roof Rails, Mantec Guard. Tasmod Stainless Sill plates. Grabber AT2's. Home made mud flaps. Side Steps back on until the next time.

Live with it???
Are you crazy?
£40k on a car and you are prepared to live with a fault like that?
That just sums up the british mentality to things when they can't be sorted quickly.
That's why we put up with so much crap, whether it's from the government, eco-mentalists or whoever.
Rant Rant!
