hi all i have noticed a few post's that mention usb, is there a usb fittment in the disco3? and if so where and what can it be used for?
i have also noticed the odd pic (in other post's) of a windows type screen on the sat nav display what is this all about?

the USB port comes as part of the ipod integration kit to enable usb-stick or usb memory type mp3 playback,
the windooz thing might have been one of 'wiggs' posts...? global warming my ars...!!!

Mmmm,nice!
The long LR part # was for a switch kit that came with the original iPod unit (I think)
To allow control from the steering wheel.
Did you have to add anything to your steering wheel to control the iPod?
(I have audio controls and phone controls on my steering wheel)

no if you have the audio and 'phone controls then it should be fine. The loom that comes in the kit just interrupts these at the back of the head unit, there is no ipod control or display on the head unit though it's only controlled via the steering wheel controls global warming my ars...!!!

Is this an after market connection for the Ipod?
I'm only interested in the USB connection....possibilty to instal only that in a D3?

yes it is the LR Ipod kit, the connectore in the pic go bag to a small black box so you could only have the usb connection showing if required but it only comes as a complete kit global warming my ars...!!!
