| Super extended mode again? |
|
Again? Yes as I can not get my G4 in Super extended mode. Yes I read the other posts.
I go to off-road hight.
Put a axle stand under the chassis.
Lower it to normal but then the D3 goes to extended mode and gives the warning like move away from the obstacle before lowering it again.
If I then put my foot on the Brake and push the height control up. The D3 goes down and wants to select off-road height but goes back to extended because the axle stand is still there.
It doesn't go higher then the normal extended mode. Measured distance between tyre and fender.
I tried it also with rockcrawl and other special programms selected.
Any idea's what I do wrong?
Will super extended mode be mentioned in the message centre? Roel

ATS guy put mine straight into superextended mode while they changed 4 tyres. I was not allowed in the workshop and didn't see this, but noticed the hazards were flashing from start to finish. Only realised what he had done when he had p d off in his van, and I could hardly get into the D3! The lass left behind didn't even understand my question, let alone answer it .
Must get back to him and ask what he did... 06 TDV6 SE Tonga Green

I had the reason for the hazards plus the tail-gate open, I think it could be any door, explained to me when I had the tyres changed on mine. Apparently a memo came round on how to jack them up, all 4 wheels at a time, the reason for the hazards and open door is that it tells the car the wheels are being changed, they found this out the hard way on a RRS, they tried it normally and when they lowered the jacks the RRS followed them all the way down and they couldn't get the jacks out from under the vehicle for half an hour until the car had decided that it needed to raise itself The guy did say the RRS driver was a bit miffed as he was in a rush I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.
