Yes, thats true, but at the moment we don't really go much into each of those systems beyond Reading and clearing the fault codes in all vehicle systems, however we are about to add a free update which will add some very outstanding capabilities in respect of the vehicles configuration and flash reprogramming of all vehicle system ECU's
Just got to tidy up and smooth over a few bits still.

Hello TFC.
Thank you for posting your question.
In direct answer, i can confirm that you are indeed correct, we are very much still flogging/selling what you are most welcome to class as "our smoke and mirrors", as it is quite magical, and i certainly cannot deny that our box is indeed very fancy looking in its electric blue case. Thank you for noticing
As was noticed and mentioned, the magical effect of this smoke and mirrors in a fancy box can be seen on quite a number of Youtube videos.
And for the benefit of readers wishing to see the result of our magic tricks, here is a before and a few after pictures i took after getting to have a few minutes of play time free. Please note they were done on a test loom as opposed to my own Disco 3, because my own D3 is a low line variant.

The settings screen After.
hey presto, 4x4 info.
I can't wait to actually plug in the Speech Recognition ECU and have a play

We will be doing an awful lot this year specifically for all D3 & Sport owners as you can see from the pictures and the videos.
I will attempt to keep all members here informed of any developments, although please note that as yet i am not a commercial sponsor here and as such i must be careful to not breach the commercial rules which appears far easier to do than i thought.
warmest Regards
Colin

looking good, I always thought when the dealer said the 4x4 display couldn't be activated he was talking out of his hat as is normal for dealers it seems.
I'm sure that there is only a couple of base software revisions out there and they choose which parts to disable based on your model. What would be the cost to a dealer for re-activating ? all yet they all want to charge the earth as its 'using their expesive kit' which they have to buy anyway to service the car. Software sellers allways try and extract the max amount cash for something that costs nothing post development. They should take a look at Tesco's success and follow imo.
To many Bill Gates wannabee's!

For sure the 4x4 info was just a click of the setting in the Cars Configuration file Pom, as was the other stuff.
This one block of data holds the setting and configuration for absolutely every system in the car. There are absolutely hundreds of them.
but bear in mind that access to all theses settings and the ability to change them, is not something, that the dealers equipment (or any clones thereof) can do. they only have about half a dozen personalization settings, although i understand they can request special modifications to be done under certain circumstances. Most dealers will probably not even know such capability as this exists.
If you or anyone would like to tell me your VIN, i will happily list you a copy of your own vehicles settings, which i am sure you will find very interesting.
I am currently looking at adding / activating support for the venture cam and reverse parking camera, and getting the video inputs enabled. I sussed all the activation and what frequency bits, but I figure i need to add the Docking base first.
Anyone know where i can get one, got a part number / price.
Hiya Simonsi
Thanks for your comment.
I noticed that you have a JE Tune, which i take to be JE Engineering. Great bunch of guys, They have been one of our customers for a long while now, they even supplied some of their customers with our equipment.

Probably being thick here - but are we basically saying that all the magic software and features are IN THERE ALREADY no matter whether you have Low Spec Sat Nav or a Hi Spec Sat Nav and it can be 'uplifted' all the way to FFRR spec in software config alone? And for probably less than the uplift to HSE spec from lower model pricing (as it used to be ) or the £1500 notes it cost as an option.
I wonder if you can retrofit rear seat entertainment and then get it enabled like this.
I would definitelty be interested if the Rear Camera, Rear Entertainment and TV upgrades could be done this way. specially as I am virtually out fo warranty and it will not matter then!
I know it is early days on this but i would have two questions:
1. Would this be a modular solution so you only buy the elements you want, or an all or nothing solution?
2. Do you have any thoughts on what price you are aiming to bring this to market at?
