PaulP - alcohol is cheap in Luxembourg (even cheaper than UK duty-free prices). If you are partial to whisky etc let me know and I can always bring some down to you in August when I am back in Villasar da Mar. The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."
Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."
Club "yes, I too once had the car at the dealer for a couple of weeks nearly 4 weeks over 4 weeks...5 weeks"
Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

Lucked out while doing an automation nixer this week-end in a distillery
Coped about 3ltrs of the good stuff b4 it was to be bottled, strictly for calibration purposes you know, and also some of the 3rd run stuff direct from the condensor coils, colourless firewater at its best, strictly ment as a muscle rub etc at 90% proof, still going to try it on internal muscles
possibly wont be around here for a few days, if I do pop in please ignore me Nine-tenths of wisdom is being wise in time.
Also appears 9/10 of stopping is stopping in time

MIL gifted me some Janneau VSOP Grand Armagnac which I'd not tried before ..............
Very nice and possibly the smoothest brandy I've ever had A great finale to a major curry night washed down with Tennants Lager (chilled of course).

It's red wine and INCNGAF what it is... it's been a bad week.
Last Sunday I dropped a tin of varnish on my big toe... the air was blue and so is my toe..
On Monday I was 'let go' from the office I was working at because of the downturn in the property market... on the way home, pre-occupied, thinking about the crappy day I'd had I didn't see the Police speed trap van until it was too late, a quick glance of the speedo showed me I was doing 36 not 30 so I'm waiting for the fine to hit the doormat.
On Tuesday, my daughter who had been feeling unwell since the weekend was sent to hospital where she had to have a lumbar puncture... fortunately she didn't have anything serious but is now suffering from an aching back.
Today, my son who has epilepsy had an attack whilst we where at the swimming baths, I saw him go under the water and had to jump out and run to get to him... the sight of him lying at the bottom of the pool was one which I hope never to see again... after a brief visit to the hospital he seems to be none the worse.
Tonight... I opened the kitchen cupboard and a tin of Devon Custard fell out and landed on my other big toe...
I don't care what it is... pass me the bottle (I'm feeling sorry for myself ) As you slide down the banister of life
may no splinters point your way

Sorry you've had what sounds like a really bad week Ave.
If the speedo said 36, it was probably only about 33 in the real world (that's how my speedo compares to the Tom Tom GPS derived speed on mine anyway), so there's a good chance of the letter not arriving.
I hope next week is better for you. Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.

Here's to all your future misfortunes being small ones I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
