SAT Nav DVD player region coded?

I've recently imported my LR3from the Middle East into the UK, got it registered and converted to LPG - all done with the help from several forum members.

I bought a 2011/12 navigation disc from TLO only to find out that the navigation DVD player seems to be 'region coded'.

Does anyone have any idea how I can unlock this coding or create a disc from my OEM one that can be read in the player?

Thanks in advance.

John

...or re-burn a backup of YOUR disc to the region your reader is Question
(not saying it's any easier than changing the CCF, just thinking it may be an option...)

no its not the disk ...the car is told what region its going to when leaving the factory ....it wont let you put in a European disk in a middle east production car .

Nav disks are not region coded

there can also be issues with radio reception ...and the frequencys are diffrent for diffrent countries . These can be changed aswell

there is a section for ...

Navigation System Region &
Audio System Country / Region Configuration

Same problem

Did you figure out what was required here? I have the same problem having imported my Discovery from Australia. When putting in the UK map dvd I just get a blacked out map screen.

Would a dealer fix this at it's next service (which is almost due)?
