question for you boys with big wheels

I know one or two of you have fitted RRSport alloys on your Disco3's, well so have I, although I've only gone for the RRS 19" alloys as the chioce and wear rate and cost of 19" tyres was more appealing than 20's. I've stuck with 255/55x19 tyres which is standard on Disco 3 HSE, although the RRS alloys are 19x9.5 instead of 19x8 Disco alloys.

Have any of you noticed how close these run to the suspension parts. I recon on the fronts, there's only about 1/2inch clearence to the suspension upright, although this should be OK as it moves with the wheel, so should always stay that distance from the rim. I was told that the RRS and D3 had the same running gear, so is the clearance this close on an RRS with standard 19" alloys? Could one of you chaps who uses the RRSport forum (or own one as well) ask one of the guys over there to "feel" round the back of their front tyres for me to see what their clearence is.

Who's run RRS alloys over any decent mileage, and have you had any issues.

Hi,
I've put 20" RRS on my D3 and yes the clearence is close, I've covered 3,000 miles trouble free with the wheels but I only use the vehicle at weekends.

Thanks for this.

I had one of those "Oh Censored " moments, just after the "those look the dogs" moments.
