weird behaviour in IE...?

Can anyone reproduce this?

At work I'm forced to use internet explorer (IE6) to browse the site. Because of the speed of the connection here, I typically open all the threads I want to read in new windows and then switch to them once they're loaded. I do this quickly with shift+click on the newest post arrow link thing. (note distinction between 'newest post' on the left and 'latest post' on the right)

Since yesterday, when I do this, as well as the new window opening on the latest post, the window I started with also goes to the beginning of the thread. A bit of a pain.

Boss, have you added some onclicky javascript to the New Posts topic table?

Hi BCB

Admittedly I never tested the new post icon, I admit that this has caused a problem Confused

I've temporarily removed the onclick functionality of the table cell, which has solved it for me on IE6, can you confirm it's now ok?

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

ND - are you running through a very slow connection? I notice that if my Vodafone dongly is down to 2G (53K) IE seems to pull crap quality but smaller images from sites - I have big problems with the NEW BBC news website layout when this happens...
