FIRST DRIVE!! GOD SHES THIRSTY!!
Well had first long drive to Whitby today picked Discovery up last night... 90 miles very very nice thanks to everyone for talking me into the Auto very happy with it... The Air suspension... Hummm very smooth but she wallows like a whale on corners dont they...And THIRSTY god there Thirsty!!

If you conclude that from the trip comp U better sit down. It is normally 2 - 3 over optimistic! 25 mpg (actually calculated) is what I'm getting from 2 D3s. Any better is a bonus.

i concur with dsl, 25mpg is as good as it gets...

I have a TDV6 manual and owned for 2 weeks now ...averaging 34mpg! on mostly A roads and motorways..I'm really impressed.57 Stornoway XS

computer said average 25mpg ive put £50.00 in and well se how she goes till empty... Does a bleeper sound when its time to fill up?

you'll get a yellow light come on by the fuel gauge...
discobox, is that on the computer or "true" calculation by yourself??

had my manual for a year and a week, never had more than 28 TRUE mpg, now i'm not driving miss daisy but....i aint lead footed.... and i'm unemployed..

Best actual mpg 36, cruising at 60 for 400 miles with a tail wind (makes a big difference). Worst 12.6 200 miles heavily laden across soft sand in Tunisia.
