Air Suspension Rubber Gaiter |

Now that Spring is here i'm changing back to 'road' tyres and can see the rear right rubber gaiter is ripped all the way around - is this a 'DEALER' job or a diy?? I can't find any info in the forums so am now getting worried its a major exercise If you can't cuddle it, shoot it and eat it!!

It can be done without the dealers help but it is a sod of a job will ideally need a ramp and two of you, mines is on its second!!! "The fate of the wounded lies in the hands of the one who applys the first dressing"

I replaced both of mine and it took about an hour each side in no particular hurry.
You need to go to access height, then disconnect the battery so the auto leveling will not pump more air into the system.
There is a top and bottom gator for each shock. It is easy enough to undo the shock and slip the new gators on.
The harder part is getting the shock back on. You have to loosen the air line on top of the shock to lower the pressure enough to get the shock back in place.
