Will a D4 wing vent fit a D3??
As per title really, think they look good so does anyone know if they will fit the D3?
Cheers

Hi
Not without a mod, as the D4 wing hole is embosed (therefore narrower to fit air intake pipe)
D3 here :
then D4, embosed one :
If not and you still want to fit them, cut both D3 and D4 wings in halves and weld them together, Matt TDV6 did with great results before he sold it to Milesg
Ask BAS' Pete whom has both a D3 and D4 and offers D4 vents, and conversion parts too.

This vent area of the D4 wing is more inset than the D3.
So will probably take a bit of botching on the front section of the horizontal/central side vent bar.
It's this overlapping section of bar that'll need reworking ie thinned out.
Never matched one up, but this is only from what I can envisage.
Got my own D3 variant near completion and will be fitted by the weekend.

Much better response in your thread VD
I've asked mods whether this thread should be merged with it.
