d4
hi just bought a d4 landmark had company vans and a company pick up for last 10 yrs not gettin any younger so thought sod it.more of a biker to be honest but it is an approved used and im quite impressed so far apart from technology seems a bit dated.its a bit funny how while i was buyin it could always get hold of salesman in dealers but still not received manual for it cant get hold of them at mo always busy with customers.but lookin at the manual on lr website doesnt seem to cover everything.im on a few classic bike forums i find its a good way to help each other out i have no doubt this will be the same.i have a question can anyone tell me what the black rectangle (looks like a light)thing above the rear seats in the headliner is.
thanks trev

Hello All
I've recently come to the world of owning a disco 3, starting right off the bat with air suspension pump issues and the second hand car dealer claiming they had renewed it when clearly they hadn't. After that the experience improved with an engine remap and some happy motoring until I decided to fit the egr blanking kit. After fitting the egr blanking kit there is limited power up to about 2000 revs and then there is plenty. I seem to have created the exact symptoms that people fit the blanking kit to cure. Does anyone have any ideas about what I may have done wrong?

A big Hello to you Disco 3/4 owners, from Nick at Southern Landrovers based in Midhurst in the south downs.
Own two of the beasts, hope I can help some of you out if need be, Have been working with these since release back in 2004. Now have workshops, working on them daily, from servicing to engine rebuilds.
Hi all,
Just bought my first Disco, an 08 XS. leather, Nav etc etc.
Had a yellow EPB light on the dash and brakes were in need of replacing, but the car was cheap so I thought " it" Whats the worst that can happen.
Well, having described the tuneful noise coming from my EPB to the 4x4 specialist in my area he stated "its mate" so my first toe dipping into this wonderful world is a £1200.00 bill for a module, discs and pads all round, and then the added cost of two new rear tyres. So I am reeling a little bit.
I hope that this doesnt keep up because at this rate I'll be selling the kids to keep it on the road.
I must say that I have only had it 3 days and I have already fallen in love with the thing though. lol.
