I have to be honest, and say that it has been very easy so far. 4.5 months now.
I was very aware that I was the only smoker in my close circle of friends and collegues. I was the only smoker in my company. I employ 23 staff!!
First few trips to the pub were difficult, but its fine now. The crunch point was 1 week before my 40th birthday. I suddenly thought that I have been smoking for more than half of my life, I decided there and then to kick it. You have to want to give up to succeed. Silver TDV6 HSE

Hats off to you !
I nearly gave up on my 40th but caved in... too weak.
Starting to think more seriously about to and as you say... you need to wwant to give for any of the 'cures' to work.

I'm two months into not smoking after twenty years on them and while I still have the odd pang it's not that bad. I used the Allen Carr method and did one of this seminars - recommended. The real trick for me has been to do something positive instead - I've taken up running but now have iliotibial band syndrome as a result - I'm sure all the doctors out there will know what it is!

It's a fibrous band that runs down the outside of the thigh between hip and knee and, if overworked or too tight, rubs againts the knee causing swelling and discomfort. The trick is not to do too much too soon when you start training after a lay off, and to make sure that if you overpronate, you have the right shoes.

Delighted with this cheat to stop the stupid boing. When I passed my test, I was taught that you can legally remove your seatbelt when reversing to park. So, I always have. Now, you take the thing off and you get "bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong," which is not only annoying but stops you from hearing the beeps from the PDC.
Personally, I don't care about getting this annoying noise back. Hope it hasn't siwtched off something vital as well though!!!!!!

Maybe we need a volunteer to phone LR Customer Services and ask them No, correction - several volunteers to see how many different answers we get

If you want to turn the alarm back on (Why? but someone is bound to ask), sit in the seat, turn on the ignition, insert and release the belt 9 times, the warning light will flash, and the bonger will return.
When I had mine turned off, I have a suspicion that the lazy seat function stopped working. I have turned it back on and it seems ok. I may be wrong on this one, as the wife had the car for a day, and was using the spare key and complained that she had to adjust the seat each time she got in.
I can't repeat it now though. Silver TDV6 HSE

This bing is much more nerving then the seat belt warning.

The solution to this is to close the door he he he he

| Speed sensitive seat belt alarm |

Further to the correspondence regarding seat belt alarms, I have noticed that mine only beeps above about 8mph. Very useful for slow speed manouvering etc.

Ecosse wrote:A very good safety device, but the beeping is so annoying (eg when moving a trailer around & need to take safety belt off).
But it can be disabled! the same system as applies to Fords works - simply turn ignition on then rapidly (within 1 min) put the safety belt in & out of the clip 9 times! On the 9th time the safety belt light will stay on for a while & then after that you still get the safety belt light but not the "beep" One caution... I don't yet know how to re-enable the "beep"
Thank you for good instructions! OK!
