I had a similar noise followed a couple of months later by alternator failure, new alternator and the noise has disappeared, maybe coincidence but I put it down to the alternator dieing!

Hi
As I also have a low power issue, alternator could be the problem. i just have to convince the dealer.
regarding the ongooing complaint with Stratstones, the DP finally contacted me last week and I had about an hour long conversation with him.
he apologised and sgreed with evrything I said and told me he had been brought in specifically to deal with their customer service issues. i think he has a massive job there.
He has pretty much agreed to all I asked for and I then said I would like a new steering wheel and that i needed a new double buggy as we had another child on the way, to which he also agreed. Maybe I should have asked for a new Disco 4 mind you, by the end of this, my car will be practically new. He went through the list of what had been replaced and I couldn't believe it (I never got anything telling me what they had done), they must have spent thousands already and the sales team have taken all the costs, even stuff that should have been covered by warranty. If they have made any profit on this sale, I would be very suprised.
Cheers
Paul
