Welcome to the site carpartsfinder. Parts for that part of the TDV6 engine have always been a problem - ie not available from LR.

However if you search the site there are some posters who mention suppliers of various components (originally intended for other makes) that apparently can be used.

I would suggest you contact a knowledgeable and very experienced member by the name of Disco_Mikey (for one) as he has written many guides and offered tons of info that may benefit you and your client(s).

The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

Either your customer needs to talk to LR about the issue - they might fund/part fund a replacement, get a second hand one (EuroJag seem to be a popular reliable choice) or get one from JLR themselves.

Basically as far as I can see, JLR control the stock as they make the bits themselves at the Dagenham factory - so don't supply except to their approved engine remanufacturers (I know of 1)

Very interesting, I was unaware of any approved engine re-manufacturers - could you please let me know the contact details of the one you know.

Many thanks

I could, but it would do you no good as they don't supply to the public (Or trade for that matter) only JLR.

Carpartsfinder please don't take this the wrong way, but this post isn't in English, well not that I can understand! Maybe it's predictive text at its worst, well Barking predictive text?Wink
What do you mean exactly by 'I have sense it' and 'change the crank gear and crank bolt as well'?
The 3 litre TDV6 is quite a different engine inside compared to the 2.7 TDV6 as I understand it.
As said already both Peugeot and Citroen use this engine, only the ancillaries are different. You might find a supplier using this criteria.
Best

With a 2mm longer stroke than the 2.7 so the cranks are certainly not interchangeable.
