How to get park brake off and out of park

I've thrown in the towel and getting 'recovered' from home, but the park brake is on (I think) and in park. To make life easier when someone gets here if they don't know how to do it, how do I take the park brake off and is there a way of putting into neutral?

Car won't start at all although there is power, so can't move it into drive...

Thanks all Thumbs Up

Look in the WIKI Thumbs Up
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Try this link Chris: http://www.disco3.co.uk/wiki/EPB_Emergency_Release

I've just been down this road and it's financially somewhat painful. Get ready to have your wallet emptied if you have to buy another EPB unit. You can unjam them manually if your mechanic needs to but mine was just foobared, I hope you're luckier. Wink

If you do need a new EPB unit ( which is probably doubtful but is a worst case scenario ) this was the most reasonable I found: Ebay Link
Sorry mate, told you it was painful. Big Cry

Thanks all Thumbs Up I was cheating by asking cos I knew it would be quicker than doing a search.... so sorry, was being a bit naughty.

On a happier note, the guy who came out from the RAC knew his stuff! Has a Sport so knew all about Land Rover! He managed to get it started but has given me some work to do before I drive it next haha. All goes back to my other posts over the last week or so about a Transmission Fault.

Will do a write up when I'm done and share the love Very Happy
