Drawer system
I always designed my own stuff.... costing me far more than of-the-shelf items , but I enjoy the creative part...
Having owned Double Cab trucks and Defenders before, I could just go about and weld/Pop rivet stuff together and it would look OK - I wasn't bothered about the rough looks.
Since owning a Disco, things changed... for me... it just had to look good as well.... So, After 10 months of scheming this way and that, I finally ended up.... OK sorry, halfway through SWAMBO threw in her bit.... with this.

I still need to install the lock this weekend, but it is packed with "her" stuff already...
Built from Sheet and angle aluminium with heavy duty sliders with some marine plywood covering, it weighs in at 16Kg and is fixed to the existing 4 anchoring points in the boot.
Finally after 2 weekends and about 6 afternoons after work, it is operational.... OK, I installed a Yellow Top dual battery system as well.Proud owner of an IIDTool

Thanks George,
For access to the spare's ratchet, I cut a hole in the drawer 100x100mm to get to the socket that is now permanently installed - all with the help of CraigS' detail in this topic:

Very nice! The looks and functionality seems to be better than the drawer system available on the market (that I have looked at)
Any chance that you could do a writeup on how to build one?
