I came across the front lower and upper bushes for the armoured version
As the front lower arm bushes have never been known for their lifespan (and mine are really past their sell-by date) I found the part numbers for them are
RBX500432 lower arm, front
and RBX500531 lower arm, rear
Has anyone fitted them to a standard D3 and noticed any significant improvement?
BEst regards from Spain

what is the difference between the RRS front wishbone and the D3 or are they the same part number?
"I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant"
nope, different p/n
only ever had to get 1 pair of arms in for the RRS so couldn't copare the 2 together
maybe an interesting comparison test is needed TLO has left the building.......

I spect I bought them from you Nick
If I remember the bushes don't look that much different from RRS to Disco, not externally anyway.
I have not had the opportunity to compare the wishbones or suspension arms, but I'm pretty sure the bushes can interchange. Did not have the time or chance to measure them but should fit.
The big day is scheduled for the 23rd september, when I'll be wrenching under the thing to see if I cure the erratic handling once and for all.
Best regards and thank you

Just got my D3 after the surgery. and I can say YEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Parts used
-Lower bushes
-RBX500432G x2
-RBX500531G x2 (superceded, I guess they collapsed as well) USE LR 025986
-Lower ball joints
-RBK500280G
-ARB bushes LR015339
Lower bushes are from the armoured D3 and standard RRS items. They are exactly the same dimensions. Dealer wanted to supply the ordinary D4 ones and I made him give them back.
Handling is crisp and sharp, wat a difference. It felt my D3 had new dampers (they are 54K miles old) and as if my D3 had gone on a diet and lost half a ton of weight. It felt I was driving my "ferrari" (Santana Series IV SWB).
So at last I get a grin on my face when I get out of my D3. Finally I enjoy driving.
And... as the bushes are the uprated ones from the armoured version, they should last twice as long, as they have to work less harder than on the heavier version
To sum up, a highly recommended modification.
HAppy weekend to all

I've been following this with interest. I drove an armoured D3 for a bit as part of my job, so I wondered what the differences in suspension actually were. Still scratching my head why the RRS needs the uprated arms or why LR didn't standardise across the range if they are readily interchangeable.

I thoght TLO said that the armouredbushes were the same part number as the RRS?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
Ernest Hemmingway
D4 3.0 Active Diff, Adaptive Lights, High Beam Assist, Surround Cameras, Privacy Glass.
D3 2.7:Adaptive Headlights,Electronic Rear Diff,ARB Bar,Blaupunkt Speakers,JVC Powered Subwoofer,Removable Snorkel,Mitch Hitch,Pioneer After Market Head Unit,Steering Wheel Control Adaptor,Remote Adjustable Supension Rod System, Taxside Dual Battery System.
Sooo, let's add some pics of the procedure:
arm bolt, as new, I guess Titanic's ones are in better shape
ARB rubber, no wonder why handling was so bad...
Rubbish original bush. Look at the split in the lower part and how it collapsed.
Uprated bush in place
As prices go by
2x LR025986 Bush RRS standard and D3 armoured, lower. 34,73 euros+VAT each
2x RBX500432 Bush RRS standard and D3 armoured, lower.10,12 euros+vat each
2xLR015339 ARB rubber.17,11 euros+vat each
2xRBK500280. Ball joint 34,35 euros+vat each
So the price is the same for the"bad" and the "good" 'uns. Why they did not standarise, belongs to another of the mysteries of LR history. Maybe they want the D3 to have a less sporty feeling than the RRS.
