Rock sliders from Slick Rock Fabrication

I saw some information on these rock sliders in another thread and want to get some more information on them. Most important : Information on cost, weight, delivery time, technical information (what sort of damage can they protect against), pictures and shipping alternatives to Europe (Norway).

Information on SlickRock Sliders

Opodden,

The prototype sliders are on my truck. If you look at my gallery, you will see many pictures with them on. In terms of information, I do not have much unfortunately as I am still working with the company to get them finished. The weight at the moment is around 100lb. Please don't quote me exactly as the design is going to change slightly as we add some more protection to the truck. We also do not know the cost of them because of the design change. The technical information to the units is they are almost direct bolt-on to the truck. There is a plastic piece that needs to be cut right behind the front wheel wells. They will protect the outside of the truck from rocks and low debris. We are still working on the undercarriage protection pieces. There will be a piece to protect the A/C lines that run very close to the sills in 7-seat option trucks. There will also be protection for the air tank and air compressor for those trucks with the air suspension. These are the tricky pieces we are still molding to work with the sliders I currently have on my truck. They are also being designed with serviceability in mind. They most likely will come in two pieces on each side of the truck. One piece is the outside slider, and the other is the undercarriage protection that will be easier to remove for service. If you would like to see some other pictures that are more up close, please PM me and I will get those. I am unsure what the shipping costs will be to Europe. I will contact the company and see what he has done in the past.

Cheers!

Air pump and air tank location...

As SlickRock is getting closer to finishing the sliders, a question came up about right-hand drive D3s and the location of the air tank and air pump for EAS trucks. In the left-hand drive, the pump is on the left side of the truck. Is it still on the left side in right hand drive trucks? Question Question Please let us know...

Thanks! Very Happy

Yes, the compressor is on the left side, to the front of the rear wheel arch.
