Excuse me for being dense but what does it do? Does it slide out of the boot? And if so why would you want it? Just interested and trying to learn!! Confused

it sits on the boot floor, you load everything on it, and when you want to take the stuff out, rather than reach over the tailgate and drag it across in an unsightly manner, the entire floor gently slides out towards the rear of the car so you can just lift it off.

It sits about 5cm high, supports 150kg (probably more in reality, but thats rated load) and slides out almost 90% or so. The eylets from your exisitng floor can be adapted to tie down loads on top of it. It locks in several positions so is not dangerous on slopes - not something homemade ones tend to do....

Ref price - by all means buy one on EBay. I see the only other one on there is currently £588. Looking through past posts on here and how in-frequently they come up for sale, Someone got a bargain on EBay sure. I believe that this is a fair price that represents what I believe is the 2nd hand market price and should not be compared with what might be a one off price on eBay. The eBay one is sold and as far as I can see there are no other ones for sale in the UK at the moment apart from around the £588 price.

Thanks to those with constructive input.
