For those not in the know, a Westfalia Campervan is the "holy grail" for all VW Camper enthusiasts. They were the only VW factory approved converters who never sold directly in the UK & thus they are all LHD which not only makes them ideal for touring the continent, also is surprisingly easy to drive in the UK with all the windows! My Mrs never has a problem & loves driving it!
1991/H T4 Westfalia California Hi-Top, 5 cylinder 2.4 diesel engine, sleeps 4 - 2 downstairs in the rock & roll bed & 2 in the insulated hi-top. This van has a full MOT until Aug 2012 & is taxed until the end of 2011. It has just been fully serviced by a local VW specialist & is ready to go! 2 x 3 point belts in rear & I fit my baby's Maxi-Cosi seat with no problems at all! New brakes all round & the cambelt & water pump have been changed at Brickwerks (very well respected VW Camper specialists!) less than 3,000 miles ago, 5 excellent tyres, working Electrolux fridge/freezer, 2 x 80 Amp/hr leisure batteries, eberspacher diesel night heater, gas stove, lots of storage, curtains all round, fly screens so you can have the windows open at night, good all round condition
It has had a respray at some point which is good without being great if you know what I mean! Ther are also a few rust spots on the tailgate but nothing major! Also, the fuel pump has a small Tappety sound which I brought to the attention of the Specialist when they did the service & they said it was some form of pushrod (IIRC?) that would probably last much longer as there are no leaks. The van starts & drives totally fine.
Am asking £5,995 for her & in the height of the summer camping season, a diesel T4 would easily go for £8-9k but my new TDCi Defender has meant this must go! Viewing at anytime either Near Sevenoaks in Kent (seconds from M20/M26 motorways) or in Erith near the Dartford M25 crossing.
