If you needed a coolant bottle the fault wouldn't of disappeared.
It's probably the coolant getting a little low, and the level varying as you're driving causing the fault to come on and off. Just needs a top up. Filler is just to the right of the rad as you look into the front (pink fluid).Disco 5 HSE Lux

The float in the bottom doesn't... float... any more. But before you purchase make sure someone else here confirms it's this that's at fault.

Mine did. It only came on... sometimes... when accelerating hard. Would agree though that the first course of action was to suspect the coolant level!

back to the dumb blond question - when was the last time you topped up the coolant before you go spending money on a new bottle/fitting?
oh and whilst yer at it, when was the last time you checked the oil level
oh oh and when did you last check the tyre pressures
If the answer to the first question is "never" might I suggest you buy 1 litre from yer local LR dealer to save messing about trying to match up a non LR product taking the car with yer and asking them to show you where you might fill it up to (chances are they do it for yer).
If the answer to the second and third question is the same as the first - shame on yer, get the handbook out and read the pages on oil level/tyre pressure AND CHECK EVERY WEEK
BTW your Low Coolant message could be hiding a leak so best get it topped up as soon as so that you can monitor it over the next few days - if the same thing comes up on the dash and the coolant level is where it was when you topped it up then its the float valve within the coolant expansion bottle (ie the receptical you put the coolant in when topping up the level). In which case its off to yer LR dealer for them to change it.
Instructions on how to do all of the above routine checks are found in the Owners Manual.

My truck had the low coolant warning show shortly after I bought it.
It's hard to tell if the coolant is low or not the bottle is a design. After researching on here I figured I was going to have to get a new coolant bottle. I went to the dealer first and they topped up the coolant for free and the warning has been gone for 2 months now. So best to try the easy things first.

whilst yer at it, might want to see if yer local LR dealer are doing a "free summer health check" as a promotion, they'll top up yer oil + coolant for yer
Went to dealer and got 1 litre of coolant. On being given the bottle I noticed on the front it is labelled 'anti freeze coolant'. I asked what the coolant is there for and he said that it stops the car freezing up when cold. I asked what it does then mid Summer, he didn't have an answer?

"coolant" and "anti-freeze coolant" is one in the same - just has anti-freezing properties.
BTW, if this winter is the first-time with yer D3, let me just say in advance when the outside temp is less than 2 degrees and on cold start up you will notice a faint smell of burning coupled with smoke coming from the passenger side front wheel area - do not panic its the Fuel Burning Heater (call FBH) which assists in getting the engine up to normal working temp and of course does make yer interior heater warm up quicker
As for now, when you put yer key in the ignition, turn it to position 2, let the car go "ping" before turning the key on to position 3 ie starting the car.
Another point to mention - after a long drive do not turn the car off straight away like a normal non turbo engine, let it run for around 10+ seconds - this will protect the turbo
HAVE YOU CHECKED THE OIL YET - when cold parked on a level road/drive? (ie first thing in the morning).???
