If you don't want to be seriously caught out I would think of this as essential maintenance on older models
not many more activations 'til this baby would have snapped

if anybody has an old one laying around i wouldn't mind it ,going to try and have a stainless piece put on it then offer a exchange unit.

not happy at paying the stupid price JLR have now put on this as it there design fault in the first place Whistle

Geoff. If I ever get around to swapping mine over you can have the old one, I did the temp fix 18 months ago and have not felt compelled to swap it out, I think the fix is better than a new unit Rolling with laughter Altox GSM FBH controller thread
