I am about to upgrade my base radio with the following components:
1)3SIXTY.2 Advanced Interactive Signal Processor & OEM Interface
(http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_details.asp?cat_id=1&series_id=49&family_id=50&item_id=106187&locale=en_US&p_status=)
2) two sets of Polk Audio MOMO MMC6500 6-1/2" 2-way
MOMO Series
Component System (from crutifield these fit in the
doors)..4 mid woofers and 4 tweeters in total..
Power Handling:
- 10-125 watts RMS
- 250 watts Peak
- Frequency Response: 43-25,000 Hz
- Sensitivity: 90 dB
3) Powered by Eclipse XA4000 4-Channel Class D
ICEpower Technology
Amplifier.
- 4 ohms: 125 watts x 4 chan.
4) 500 w amp, the JL Audio JL500/1 (Rated Power: 500W
RMS @ 1.5 ohm-4 ohm (11V-14.5V)) with
5) the 400 w JL Audio 10W6v2-D4 (10" Component
Subwoofer, RMS Power handling: 400 watts, Dual 4 Ohms
2.75" diameter, 4-layer voice coils).
It is way cheaper to purchase them in the US than in the UK mainly due to the strong pound (total 1,200 GBP vs > 2000 GBP if purchased separately in the UK), however, the only place that I had in mind to install them were not too keen on installing these compoents (especially the signal processor) unless it was purchased from them. I am aware of the warantee issues with the abovementioned components but I would like to find out if anyone is aware of any professional auto audio installers in the UK, who can esstentially install these components (and build a subwoofer box)...Would really appreciate any help...

I, i'm interested by your upgrade, i want to do a similar. I already connect a roof DVD player and a jack connector on the AUX socket, so i can use my GPS MP3 on the radio. (i made a connection), so, i have some questions:
1 - how do you will connect the Amplifier to the radio: do you find to a retailer special wires to connect output the base radio? perhaps it's a ford model connector?
2 - How do you will connect the subwoofer? il normally needs a special output on the radio. Some models (with integrated amplifiers) have a filter which make possible to connect directly on a speaker way.
3 - It is easy to replace the speakers without dismounting the interior trimming of the door ? (just the speaker grid?)
3 - what did you envisaged against garbage?
Thank you DISCOVERY III TDV6 SE SEVEN BVA (in french!)

You will have to remove the door trim.
1. The grill is fixed to the trim.
2. You will need to fix the speaker to the metal panel of the door to get a sealed box for the bass.

Simple, the sound processor will do the trick..just need regular speaker connections from the radio, hook it up the the Rockford Fosgate 360.2...can connect any thing to it, external amps, subwoofer with external amps, speakers...no word yet about the speakers in the door...will be getting an estimate on how much to put them in on 20th...In the mean time u can check out my other posts and start your searching...

Hello. I heard that removing the audio "block" it could stop the vehicle from starting? Can you provide more info about that?
I have the very basic radio/CD on a 2007 LR3 2.7 (the model with no pneumatic suspension nothing ^).
Cheers!
