Underbody protection for D3 |
|
Hi, New to forum, I've a 06 D3S and have been doing some off-roading and would like to get some under body protection. Is the underbody protection in the G4 accessories section any good or is the Frog island D3 protection the only one (£1100 can buy alot of extras and beer! ) What do you guys suggest?

Hi and welcome. APB Trading are looking to import some cheaper kit soon. I don't know who its from or what it is yet. As soon as it is available no doubt the info will get posted. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Ive got the land rover under body protection (which I beleive is made by mantec). Its a pretty solid piece of kit. Duncan

Do you have full underbody or just a sump guard In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

i don't know how reliable it is but i was at a well known company recently and was talking to one of the lads who worked there and he was saying in answer to my question that soon there will be a lot more options available for the disco. so looks like there might be deals to be had in the near future. he never expanded on this so at the mo thats all i know.

Does anyone know how the Mantec plate compares to the Land Rover underbody protection (part KRQ 500010)? I have heard rumors that it is the same. Can anyone confim.
Thanks,

LR plate is made my Mantec, for some reason the winch compatible version is only available through LR and the non-winch version is only available through Mantec The End

I bought the units from TBR www.tbruk.com I fitted engine, gerabox and the rear diff cage. Tolerances were an easy bolt on .....2 hours on a hoist. At around 400 quid for all ..... I did not consider Mantec worthwhile

Very nice. 8) Neat winch installation too. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Do you think Is it possible to install the Mantec sump guard by Mantec and the two other plates from TBR (Asfir)?
1- Front protection (sump guard by Mantec)
2- Gearbox TBR
3 Rear diferential. TBR
If i had allready the Mantec... What should i do to install the rest of underbody protection?
Thanks Nacho
