Vibration & audible noise at stop – transmission? |
|
I’m hoping the forum members can offer some insight. Thanks in advance. Just started to encounter a slight vibration and audible noise while stopped with the brake pedal depressed. I can feel the slight vibration through the steering wheel and brake pedal and I would describe the noise as a low hum. If I release the brake and start to roll the vibration and noise disappear. While stopped, if I shift the auto transmission out of drive and into neutral or park the vibration and noise immediately stop. If I shift the auto transmission out of drive and into reverse the same vibration and noise happen. The noise and vibration do not happen when moving, only when stopped. Is it possible something could be loose? Any ideas? 16 D4 Landmark

It actually got better over time and reduced by 90%. How? I have no clue. I don't notice it at all anymore. 16 D4 Landmark

Did it stop making the noise once you had your transmission fluid changed?
Thanks,
