Mr not-so-Bling!
This weekend my wife had a puncture in the D3. Last week I also had a flat, so the spare was already in use (there's only one place nearby that can do 22"s, so I hadn't got round to getting it sorted). The wheel she had a puncture on is knackered, because she didn't notice. So now I need at least 1 wheel and 2 tyres. Cost? Around £1300 I reckon!
I have already had 2 of the 22" Kahn's replaced (one under warranty and one on insurance). I don't take the car off road, in fact I don't even ride up kerbs. The ultra low profile tyres just seem to let air out at every oportunity, so I'm constantly having to go the the garage and put more air in. Basically I'm not impressed with the quality, I think the alloy is too soft (and of course the bigger the wheel, the less structural rigidity it has)
The car was recovered by Land Rover Assistance, and today I've spoken to Hillendale about the possibilty of changing the wheels to something a bit more modest (I'm thinking of the 19" LR wheels).
Problem is, I don't think I should have to pay for them. The Kahn's, along with colour-coding and side tubes, was a £5k option, most of which was the wheels (£1k per corner including tyres!)
I'm waiting to hear from them, and will keep you all posted!2005 Disco 3 TDV6 7 seater. Leather, DVD, fully colour-coded.

Your case is with the supplying dealer or Kahn and not LR I would imagine. Not their wheels.
Also there are some very nice Shadow Chrome wheels available now... pretty blingy.

Well, they reckon that the wheels are all OK (I'll check, because I was sure that at least one was buckled). They offered to SELL me a set of 19's with deivery mileage tyres for £1k+VAT, which I politely declined!
I've got one spare tyre at home, so I only need to pay for 1 tyre (around £270+VAT).
Time to start watching out for a set on aBay...
Don't suppose anyone fancies selling me a set of 19's?2005 Disco 3 TDV6 7 seater. Leather, DVD, fully colour-coded.

Dealer just called me to say that there is some damage to the alloys ater all (which I had already told them!)
Don't really want to pay £1k+VAT for the 19's they offered me, so I've asked what else is available...

I feel for you, before i got my D3 i used to have a FFRR. I made the mistake of fitting it with 22" Kahns as well. They look great, but what a hassell, i got a punture every week for the three months i kept them, finally i got sick of it all and sold them to a RRS owner. for a fraction of what i paid for them. It's his problem now.
My advise, Get rid of them asap.CLUB "Ah Shor it'll be grand"

Mr Bling .... Welcome to the world of 20" , Sorry to hear about your 22" a shame as I did
like your D3 with them on ,
I was going for 22 (you might recall we spoke via Pm months ago) , But being in ireland
with crap roads i went for 20". I had also at the time spoke to Chris Tyler who also related the same
story as per his post , so 20's it was .
Well .....at least you had the balls to roll on 22" .... and 20" still give a nice bit of Bling

Which may explain the issue with the 22" bling wheels and tyres, where/are they rated high enough for the D3 Mr Bling? If not that may explain the many punctures The End

Sorry to hear about wheels Mr Bling ,but stormers look really well on D3(Barry G and Ronp pics).Unfortunately this goes back to tyre rating again, the best I could get were a 110 rating as opposed to 111 recommended by LR I also went for 275x45x20.Just wondering what tyre choice you have made.

Picked the car up last night. Turns out they're 19's, not 20's, but they still look very nice, and at least I won't be paranoid about getting punctures now!
What's this about weight ratings? Maybe I could claim against the dealer for suppling under-spec wheels? What questions should I ask of Mssrs.Kahn?2005 Disco 3 TDV6 7 seater. Leather, DVD, fully colour-coded.

On the side of the tyre, you have a wieght rating, which for the D3 is 111 (or higher). If they supplied tyres under this spec, then Yes, I could see you would have a claim against them for the wheels and all of the tyres that have been punctured.
Check out the tyres (make sure you're checking out one of teh original tyres they supplied & not a replacement that you put on)Bodsys Brake Bible

I can't see a "weight rating" on either set of tyres, just a max load in kgs... Am I looking in the wrong place???2005 Disco 3 TDV6 7 seater. Leather, DVD, fully colour-coded.
