I'm going to replace the bit at the bottom of the windscreen.
Does anyone know if this can be done with the A pillar trims in place or do they have to come off?
Many thanks

The A pillar trims go over the top of the scuttle - they have to come off I'm afraid

They're not difficult to remove unless you've got no fingers. It's just the expense of getting some new clips (what's that, maybe 5 quid?)

I need to replace my a pillar trim, as mine are very scratched. Looks like all I need is fingers, trim and clips. Would people recommend going genuine? Any idea of cost?

I think I paid about £35 for an A pillar trim - new clips were in the pack.
Genuine from local dealer.

I don't think there are any pattern parts for the A pillar trims. Genuine only available at the moment AFAIK.

Picking up my new scuttle tomorrow
Already got the side trims from TLO
Mines gone a bit dry and grey looking, also lifting from the windscreen on n/s which could account for the odd drip I've seen on the footwell rubber mat

Job done!!
Both my wiper arms were stuck, so I used a g-clamp with the foot removed.
Left the socket on the loosened nut and put the clamp under the arm and the threaded bit inside the socket, it's at an angle but both popped off ok. Might scratch the old trim though but who cares .
Also glad I got new side trims as mine were nicknacked, the foam gasket all round was as flat as a flat thing
Top lugs snapped off
Seems mr auto glass liked his black gunk too as I had to do quite a bit of cleaning up, the scuttle was attached to the bottom of the screen with a thin strip of this gumph.
I also put some foil tape over the cabin air intake (front half sticking out beyond screen)
Rubber gaskets around both wiper spindles were split too, so a good job all round
I cleaned all surfaces with panel wipe before clipping the new bits on.
Bring on the rain!!
