EPB Fault In Wet Conditions
Not my car, but a friends Dad who isn't on the forum...
Apparently his EPB only throws up the usual error messages when it is raining.
No screaming or adjusting problems, but it sounds as if something electrical is getting wet, and causing the fault.
The fail occurs when driving, and not even when trying to use the EPB.
Had a search and couldn't find anything similar... Does anyone have any ideas?

Think i read somewhere about a splice in the supply to the ecu for the epb that was not done properly in the front wheel arch region. Was maybe even a recall
Maybe this worth investigating if happening when wet/moist conditions

P.S. - welcome to the forum!

I'm afraid that we did not, but it hasn't been too bad over summer... Apparently! I assume you are experiencing something similar?

If the odd noise is comeing from the rear when brake is applied could just be a case of adjuster breakage on one side, most likely if coming from rear
Happened to me, cost £30 at an independent to replace

Hi, I've noticed that there have been a few posts lately regarding problems caused by water ingress to the connectors, for the EPB and suspension compressor, that are located in the front wheel arch. LR issued this bulletin for the repair of this problem. Hope it helps. Have tried to get it as large as possible to make it legible.

The major PITA EPB issue on my D3 was caused by corroded terminals in the connector on the rear chassis leg by the spare wheel. Bypass harness fitted and it's been as good as gold since 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
