Most Interior Lights not working - SORTED

Anybody else have this or offer a fix?

The middle front lamp works fine with door opening, manually switching and if you do the 3second hold the dash correctly displays Auto off and on but none of the other interior lights work ie the front and rear map lights, middle light in rear, 6th and 7th seat lights and tailgate (8 in total) are all inoperative, bulbs all appear to be OK and swapping the good working bulb to other positions doesn't change anything

All ideas welcome

thanks
 Mark

Start by checking Fuse 1 (10 Amps) behind the glovebox, as this supplies all map lights, vanity mirrors and glovebox ...

Thanks, I didn't check the fuse as one was working but guess that is on another circuit. The fuse was blown, unfortunately the replacement blew as soon as I put it in. I disconnected the two large roof units and the tailgate light but a new fuse still blew

Process of elimination i guess

Most likely the sun visor units - the wiring can get trapped as they're fitted ...

Many thanks to Mick for the pointers, you were spot on Bow down, it was driver's side vanity mirror, the cable had been trapped at the bracket and eventually shorted

All now working Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Is it easy to replace the Vanity Mirror unit in the sun visor? Land Rover do a Vanity Mirror Kit?
