Got picked up by parents after a working weekend away.
Started car and ran fine, no issues as usual. Stopped in a retail park to buy the dug some more food.
Started back up and "Engine System Fault" came up on dash, no bong's and no lights on dash.
Still drives but low on power compared to usual before turbo kicks in, otherwise fine. No smoke etc.
Car is on 109,685 miles.
Egr's have been blanked 2 years ago, Fuel filter done in January with a Bearmach item.
Mike changed the condensor and the Intercooler seems fine, hoses seem fine.
Due to time there's no garages open to get the codes read today and i don't have the kit anyway.
It's a 2004 build so has it joined CFT?

Would the actuator upgrade kit be worth getting as a precaution?
Found the wiggle thread to check movement. Light is fading so will try that tomorrow.
The big hose that's blue on your mike is soft to squeeze, good or bad.
Had silicones in my last car and the kitcars the same so unsure about that one.
Going to contact a member to see if he can read the codes tomorrow if he's free.

2 have came up

Turbocharger boost control position sensor A, minimum/maximum stop performance
P132B
Turbo/supercharger boost control A performance.
Am i correct in thinking, turbo actuator sticking/failing rather than turbo itself failing?

If the rod is seized, then you should be OK with freeing it off.
If the rod moves freely, and still logs the faults, then your are the newest member of CFT  My D3 Build Thread

Hmm, time to throw hammers about then. 
Also time to get searching for this guide on how to free it off.
Sometimes it drives fine, other times like when going up the M8 hill at showcase, i had to shift down to 4th to keep any form of momentum as it went from 70-50 on the hill and wouldn't pick up.

Hope it's as simple as freeing off the actuator. My entry into the CFT was under similar circumstances 
However my mates Nissan Nivara, sorry for swearing  , had been through 4 turbos before it's 3rd birthday. Needless to say it was punted before the warranty expired.
Still doesn't make you feel any better. There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

That story doesn't fill me with happiness...
Shall try the lube and wiggle back and forth method first. ( stop laughing )
Otherwise mike, your garage is getting a visit. With a list of things to sort.

Thread bump with latest.
Tried the actuator rod freeing, can't get my coat hanger to hook onto the rod.. 
So, soaked it in plenty of fluid and took it for a blast round the local industrial estate to see if it helps.
The following is what i've found.
Small puffs of black smoke when turbo kicks in.
Grey smoke after that comes out, not a lot but enough to be seen.
At 50mph in command shift, if i press the throttle, it fluctuates the revs by 250rpm, but doesn't gain speed.
My brakes are truely needing changed.

FIXED!!! 
Checked the map sensor and it was clean, so no problem there.
So, Time to get to that actuator from above.
Disconnect battery and remove it from the bay.
Split the red side as i had to move them apart to get other stuff free.
3 13mm nuts to be removed.
Disconnect the air con pipe bracket with a 8mm nut.
Remove the black philips screw.
Twist the white connector block and remove.
The battery tray has 3 seperate parts that remove.
1 pulls up, 1 pulls from under the scuttle area and the other is large and held in with 4 clips.
Remove the heat shield, this just pulls up and slide forwards to the front of the engine.
This lets you get access to the actuator rod.
Mine was very VERY stiff, so pushed down first with a round file and hooked the wire round to pull back up, the range of movement is about an inch or so.
Repeat this and spray WD40 or similar every time you move it.
Repeat till moving freely.
Thank the LR gods for showing mercy to you.
Reassemble the stuff and start car.
Thank the LR gods again for it not showing up any warning bongs etc.
Take drive and enjoy having a working actuator.
Final step will be to strip it all down to check up and continue the spray and push/pull to make sure.
Massive thanks to Disco Mikey for the advice over the phone and to other's for having a guide so i could see what i was trying to free up.
Hopefully i've sorted it properly as with my job security very uncertain i can't have a bill of a new turbo hanging over me.
