Few questions for new owner :)

Hi guys, two little questions about my new d3

Why does my glovebox area 'fart' occasionally? It's something to do with the fans/blowers, think it's a vent opening/closing?

Randomly when I turned engine off the other day then started it less than a min later I was greeted with a dashboard lit up like a Xmas tree saying gearbox fault limited gears available and big F on the gearbox screen, then park brake fault, then something about the terrain response, I drove a few metres and turned it off again, left it a min and started up and everything was fine again! Question I have a normal generic code reader here I've borrowed off a pal to check something on my mrs car, will it tell me anything or should I not bother and find a proper one?

Cheers Smile

The fart is the flaps in the air vents closing and opening, they close when stationary or when you press recirculate to help prevent exhaust fumes entering the cabin in traffic

The Christmas tree can be caused by a low or weak battery, might be worth giving it a good charge, is the battery a LR branded one, maybe the original?

Batteries tend to last about 5 yrs as these are power hungry cars Thumbs Up
