| URGENT - CalorLite recall |

Calor Gas Ltd is issuing a product recall with immediate effect on all 6kg CalorLite® cylinders manufactured between 2008-2011 inclusive. All such cylinders must be returned to a local CalorLite® stockist immediately.
Upon return, the customer will be issued with a free of charge replacement 6kg CalorLite® cylinder.
Calor dealers should be in a position to start handling returns from Wednesday 24th September
Cylinders manufactured in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 are covered by the recall

Yep got an empty 2009 Red 6 Lite in the van.
Result, on free refill From the Factory: '05 Java Black D3 S-spec, Manual, Heated Fr & Rear Seats, Cruise, HK High Line.
Mods from me: D4 Bluetooth PTI, Napa Leather Smooth Wheel & New Gearstick Gaiter, De-tango'ed Light clusters, RRS Grille Mod, Hid's4u L.E.D's in every bulb holder, Centre Cubby Fridge, Colour coded front bumper with front PDC, fogs and halo DRL's. Dash vent illumination mod. More power sockets.

As a Calor stockist ourselves, we have been anticipating something along these lines. 2 weeks ago we were instructed not to sell any of our lites we had in stock, but to put to one side for exchange. No one would enlighten us as to the reason why. Sure enough our stock was swapped over, but still no explanation.
It will be a bun fight for sure when this news gets out, as we are always short of stock on lites for normal refills. We often are unable to replace our empties due to lack of stock.
Incidentally, the refill authority charge (rental) for lites will be £5 more per cylinder than the others from next week. One wonders if there is some need to make back an impending loss?  Rich

Changed two this afternoon! One was empty the other one had about 1kg ( 2lbs) in it. Now have two clean and full bottles. Make sure your new one(s) have a small hole in the metal collar around the neck of the bottle. I believe some recent deliveries are "old stock".
