Been a few times when we've hired the whole place. One of the best sites around. Great scenery, good instructors although we wanted to get stuck in a bit more than they wanted to let us at first. You'll have a great time I'm sure. Although it doesn't have a swanky centre like the other LRE centres, but it's the driving that counts and it's excellent. I was last there two weeks ago with a load of other D3 owners. We all had a great time.

Guy you will have a great time, my experience was one to one for the day in a G4 D3, got stuck for twenty minuets once after tree felling had taken place, trying to get out of a valley and stream, small branches all over the place, some good footware is a must as we had to move chunck of tree out of the way. Very Happy Thumbs Up

If you are going to Peckforton then there is a swanky centre, shop and a great restaurant in the castle along with birds of prey in the grounds.

Land Rover use the Peckforton site and not the Bala site for the Experience days nowadays.

I don't think Peckforton is as big a site as Bala, but still a very enjoyable way to spend a day with very knowledgeable instructors.

Its Landcraft that actually do the experience days. I went to Peckforton for a 1/2 day freebee and then to Bala with them for a full day.

The Adventure days at Bala are great.

Back in the early days LR did the 1/2 day freebee at the Bala site, meeting at the Pale Hall Hotel where there was a small LR Experience shop etc, then driving to the off-road site.

We did this back in 05, and in early 06 took the D3 on one of the Landcraft Adventure days. We were in the only D3 as all the other vehicles were older D2's and Defenders, I think some of them thought I was mad all 5'2" of me turning up with the kids in a £42K car, but we had a great day, lost the side steps and ruined the wheels but hay-ho!
