I reakon terraclean and 2 stroke is the best chance plus soaking them in plusgas. I saw ed china use an amazing magnetic doo da, it was something else.

Well touch wood I think the remote FBH is doing the trick for me.
I have 6 completely dead glow plugs as verified by Disco Mickey and decided to get the BAS remote fob.
Yesterday morning it was -5 degs C and gave it the 30 min warm up. Started no problem at all. Last year it would have been cracking for ages and then eventually need a jump due to flattening the battery. Hope this keeps it going before I pluck up courage or funds to replace the dreaded glow plugs.
Only think now is slight wobble on front wheels so off to check wheel balance first......

Update: haven't had time to write this until now.
So, first plug snapped. Took 6 hours and a new drill bit from Germany to get it out. Second one came out lovely. The other 4 were turned a quarter and indicated they would snap. Fortunately, the two that were replaced were one on each bank so both sides are getting heat.
In short, I've just gone with the two plugs for now and left the others dead.
It was minus 4 last week and she started up beautifully.
The job cost £334 inc VAT.
It's not perfect but, I'm really happy with the result.

There's some suggestion that in breaking down, the plugs swell (element corrodes and expands) and it's this rather than carbon that causes them to jam. Sure you'll get carbon build up in the heater chamber that will "hug" the swollen plug, but if the plug itself has swollen no amount of terraclean or 2SO is going to help. 2 plugs done for that money strikes me as a result I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Going with that, if correct.
Then it's pot luck for if they come out or snap.  
Mine turned 10 earlier this month so the plugs on mine will be long dead.
How they come out, when i cross that bridge will be interesting.
Got other bits to sort first.

Resurrecting an old post here about glow plug removal for those who don't have the ability/time to attempt the job themselves.
Having resurrected my FBH last year when I found all six of my plugs were FUBAR and then having struggled with battery issues running the FBH when we had a cold snap at the end of last year I decided enough was enough and I decided to get them done this week by DR Automotive in Stone, Staffs.
They were very accommodating and knowledgeable regarding all the issues/risks which gave me confidence in their abilities, which turned out to be very well placed as they managed to get all six out and replaced with Beru/OEM in ~ 5 hours...result! (2 snapped but were able to be drilled/threaded & pulled successfully).
Not the cheapest job to say the least at £100/hr + parts + VAT but I would say you definitely get what you pay for with these guys and I would heartily recommend them to anyone needing the job doing.
(Not sure it made a difference but for the past year I have been adding Redex Diesel to every full tank and eack week for the last 6 weeks I'd managed to soak the top of each plug with Powerfoam Deep Creep) MY06 D3 SE 2.7 V6

A reasonable result, but if the redec etc had made a real difference they’d have all come out without snapping
If they’re stuck, they’ll snap. Generally you can tell if they are going to snap when trying to ge them out…..if I think they are going to snap I give the customer that option of carrying on and potentially snapping them or only changing those that have come out without snapping/ excessive force
