Yep.....
Pull up the panel behind the handbrake switch (or the complete panel) find a surprisingly thin steel cable with a loop on the end, pull until you think it's going to snap then pull harder. If that's not hard enough and it doesn't release get a screwdriver, jack handle or similar put it through the loop and pull harder

As Tufty sez. If you're not thinking "something's going to break" you're not pulling hard enough.

I once had me EPB that wouldn't release and, having read the manual, I pulled off the panel behind the handbrake and no emergency release could be found. I phoned the service manager at a franchise dealer who said that the emergency release cable was actually on the passenger side under the trim. He also said to only pull it as a last resort as it is a big job to reset. He suggested I leave the car, lock it and come back 10 minutes later after it had "gone to sleep". I did just that and the EPB has been faultless since.
I suggest you don't go back to that dealer as he does not know what he is talking about, the cable is under the little panel behind the park brake switch.
You sometimes have to search a little as it gets pushed down out of the way.

Emergency release cable
I'm trying to release my stuck EPB. I've found the emergency release cable behind the handbrake switch and as described above pulled as hard as I can but no joy.
Does anyone know of a plan 'B' in the event of the cable failing to release? I just can't pull any harder! Can I access the cable anywhere closer to module?

I have bent the jack handles trying to pull the release. They can be tight...
Just when you think you should stop pulling, pull harder My D3 Build Thread
