Under seat wiring question.
Hi guys. I've got a question about the wiring under both front seats. My question is this. What are all the wires for? My Discovery 3 is a basic Terrain Response model. It doesn't have electric seat adjustment or heated seats. For the limited amount of electrical equipment in the seats, there do appear to far to many wires.
I know that there are wires for the air bag and seat belt pre-tensioner. There will also be the seat sensor and the belt buckle sensor.
So what do all the other wires do?
Thanks in advance.

The powered mirror's controls are also situated under the RH side seat. IIRC from the colour coding these are for the mirrors

Thank you for the reply. These are the wires under the passenger seat. The drivers seat is similarly equipped with masses of wiring.
Investigation will continue.
I understand that it is the same wiring harness for all models - so there will be wiring also for bells and whistles you dont have.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Excellent. That means there is scope to retrofit bells and whistles later. Thanks
