Defo blank. Relatively straight forward and instant resolution of hesitation. No issues for me also, in 2 years since it was done.

Blanked mine & never given me any trouble, I wouldn't bother replacing them, the blanking kits are much cheaper than replacement valves

It looks like one of the EGRs on my 2008 D3, EU4 motor is on its way out, so I'm pondering the same question.
You haven't mentioned the year model of your engine; EGRs can be simply blanked off on 2007 and earlier but 2007+ (EU4 / Euro Stage 4), non-DPF engines require two additional steps in addition to installing the blanks:
1) an ECU patch to disable the EGR warnings that would otherwise ensue
2) removal of the butterfly valves (which I think requires getting to the EGRs more or less as if you were to replace them)
DPF (diesel particulate filter) engines use the EGR valves as part of the DPF system and can't be blanked, full stop.

The butterfly v/v you have to remove is the one in the air inlet which is about 1% the difficulty of the egr v/v's There is no I in team, but there are five in Individual Brilliance

Sorry it's a 55 plate so as far as I'm aware no light should come on. I have an iid tool anyway.

Should be good with a 55 plate
How long have you had the car??
If you take away 2 weeks from that time that is how long the egr v/v's should have been blanked for There is no I in team, but there are five in Individual Brilliance

I have had EGRs replaced and blanked.
First time round I had them replaced.
Second time round I had them blanked.
Only difference after getting them blanked is I know they will not fail again.
