Call me a wuss but parked up in a campsite just by the bridge to Harstad and roads to Lofotons. Plan is to do a bit of bimbling from here.
Most excellent views to be had, even if the oyster catchers are a tad noisy.

View from the boidoir, just hope SWMBO doesn't look too closely as something other than ham, cheese, milk and chocolate may have jumped in the shopping basket in Poland.

PS And a feast fit for a king is born. Chicken Laksa, Lime & Coriander rice, mango chutnry and a good belt of Tabasco Chipotle. With a couple of nans. Bootiful.

Minimum effort, maximum results. And just one bowl to wash up.

Do your Jetboil's cook your curry ok without burning it or boiling it? Just curious as I've not thought to try it with mine!

Just bung the can (lots and lots of choice now) in unopened, enough water to just cover it and bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer (keep hole in lid on opposite side to control knob i case it does a geyser impression) then simmer for ~5 mins. Rice (Tilda pouches) is same though needs less time. Meanwhile do the nans (flipping frequently using SWMBO's best frying pan on a cylinder top burner!! ) and it all comes together when the nans are done. Easypeasy.

It would never have crossed my mind to do it that way, thanks for the top tip
Going to give it a test run with something later.........maybe some baked beans will do!!
SWMBO seeing the beer is the last of your worries now, spotting her favourite frying pan all charred is a much more serious offence!!

Nothing the dish washer won't fix on my return. The most travelled Anthony Warrel Thompson frying pan.

Spending today exploring the delights of Langøya. Nice gentle bimble planned, lots of stops like this one to enjoy my coffee.

In the background of the top pic is Andøya menacing away, with Ardennes P-3 base at the top. And guess what just flew over, off looking for those pesky Rooskie subs.

Now you see why the Norwegians paint their Orions a few shade darker grey than everyone else.
Oh, and the locals deffo have a sense of humour. Well it would be a wet camel as it's peeweeing down.

Lovely old harbour, imagine this full of old fishing and whaling ships

And raining

And lots of very skinny roads with passing spaces, but the Norwegians have it as part of their national pride that they pass as fast as poss without using said passing spaces.
