We were due to collect the car, but somehow the arrangements got lost in translation! Suffice to say the job was cancelled and deposit returned.

And Happy Ending ✌️

Hello to everyone,

First of all, thank you all for your support. I was looking for a garage with good service with your suggestions and finally found it.

I talked to all the companies you suggested based on your suggestions. After each interview, I evaluated each company with the criteria I wrote below.

1. Are these companies registered with Company House? If they are registered, how long have they been in this business?
(Do not find it strange that I have researched this. Apart from the ones you suggested here, I also interviewed other garages and thanks to these researches, I got rid of being scammed at the last moment.)

2. Are the parts they will use for my vehicle in their bids original parts?

3. Will there be another surprise expense after the price they give?

4. Warranty period?

5. Does she share her work on Facebook and Instagram?
(Of course, this cannot be a mandatory criterion, but it still gives people confidence.)

6. Waiting and repair times.

7. The fee they charge for the service

When I evaluated all these criteria, the company that gave me the most confidence was QP Online LTD. This feeling of trust increased even more during our meeting with Marco, the owner of the company. QP Online LTD was 3.5 hours away from me and I sent my vehicle to them by AA without going there and seeing it. Marco shared with us all the operations done on my vehicle with pictures and explanations. He got our approval for every transaction he made.

The engine block was damaged in three places and the interior was in terrible condition and could not be rebuilt. He stated that a rebuilt engine could be fitted for a small price difference. Of course, I immediately accepted this. Upon accepting this offer, he sent me photos of the new engine to be fitted to my vehicle. On the 10th day, all procedures were completed and Marco called us and said that the vehicle was ready.

When I set out to buy the vehicle, I was very excited because I did not know what to expect. When we got there, Marco greeted us at the door and immediately offered to take a test drive. I didn't even notice the engine starting when I started the car. Before this new engine, it was as if I was driving a tractor, but I had no idea. After a great test drive, we took our vehicle and set off. I tested my tool along the way and indeed QP Online did a great job. Moreover, QP Online provided a 12-month and unlimited mileage guarantee.

Maybe it's too early to tell, but at least I can say that I'm happy to have chosen them because of the whole process so far.

I would like to thank Marco first, then the QP Online team and you, dear DISCO3 Forum members.

I would recommend QP Online LTD to everyone.

Also, I didn't work with Oval Autos and I don't know what the result would be if I did, but Joe's approach to us was very friendly and helpful. Moreover, when I gave up on the deal, he immediately returned the deposit I paid for my vehicle. As I said, I don't know what the result will be since I couldn't get service from him, but this behavior of Joe clearly showed that he was a reliable person.

Yes, the price is exactly as you stated. Yes, no one wants to face such an unforeseen expense. However, if I hadn't had my vehicle built, I would have sold it for scrap. Of course, while this change was being made, when I bought it in 2019, I learned that the engine was pre-treated and repaired badly.

Great to see a respectful and positive post solution response, not just on the final supplier but also this on the alternative option. I am really glad you have had a good outcome.
